Have a band?  Are you wondering how to market your band on Facebook to reach a larger audience?  Here's the digital marketing techniques you should use:

Find blogs that are about music that is similar to your band.  Start with small blogs and move up to the most trend setting blogs.  You can contact the blogger, send them a sample of your music and have them write an honest critique.  Bloggers are always looking for new content, and they love to be provided with it.  Your music should relate to the blog's audience so that the blogger is likely to share it with his/her followers.  This technique can open you up to many people.  More popular blogs may require that you be published elsewhere before you can apply for review, so that's why you start with smaller blogs.

Facebook Ads can also be very effective, especially if they are well targeted.  Facebook allows you to target ads by age, location and interests.  You should be able to target your band very well with Facebook Ads.  You ad text should be short and have a good call to action.  For example, if your band is similar to another band, a good ad text might be: "Like Aerosmith?  You will like XXX too!"  Simple, one line and easy to read ads are best.
